Marvel has found their She-Hulk. There's been a ton of speculation about who would play the lead role since the Disney+ series was announced last summer. According to Deadline, Orphan Black and Perry Mason star Tatiana Maslany has landed the job. Marvel hasn't commented, but it sounds like this is a done deal. Even Mark Ruffalo welcomed Maslany to the family on Twitter.
In the comics, She-Hulk is Jennifer Walters. She gets her powers after an emergency blood transfusion from her cousin, who happens to be Bruce Banner AKA The Hulk. The promising young attorney is able to keep her intelligence and personality, and pretty much stay Hulked out at all times.
The show is being led by Rick & Morty writer Jessica Gao and director Kat Coiro. No word on a release date but 2022 would make sense. The series was announced alongside Disney+ shows for Moon Knight and Marvel Girl. The first wave of Marvel shows should start hitting the streaming service with WandaVision later this year, and both Loki and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier in 2021.
