Dave Grohl’s Latest “True Story”

Dave Grohl has been sharing “True Stories” from his rock n’ roll life with fans on his new Instagram blog, Dave’s True Stories. “Billboard” has an exclusive sneak peek of his next story, where he recalls getting a shocking email from David Bowie.

How would you feel if your musical hero told you off? Well, it looks like Grohl knows what that’s like. For his fourth story, the Foo Fighters rocker will reveal the backstory behind why Bowie sent him an email telling him to “f**k off.”

“Believe me, it wasn't the first time my battered ears had heard such colorful language, but from the "Thin White Duke" himself?” he writes in the preview. “What could I have possibly done to illicit such a soul-crushing reaction? Was it something I said? Or, had I done that thing that I always do when faced with a bonafide legend, nervously displaying all of my most annoying tendencies?”

Queen Is The UK’s Biggest Vinyl Artist Of 2019

Queen has officially outsold legends like The Beatles, and popular artists Oasis and Billie Eilish, to become the United Kingdom’s biggest vinyl artist of 2019. The band moved more than 75,000 units last year thanks to the success of the 2018 biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

The Beatles comes in second, also getting a boost in vinyl sales thanks to a film, Danny Boyle’s “Yesterday,” along with the 50th anniversary reissue of their classic album “Abbey Road.” The third, fourth and fifth spots are filled by David Bowie, Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac, respectively. Billie Eilish, the only new artist on the list, takes seventh place with only two vinyl titles.

Vinyl album sales in general have been growing for 12 straight years, with over 4-million copies sold over the course of 2019. Check out the top-selling vinyl artists and titles of 2019 below.
