"Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" is coming back to the big screen along with the original dad. Rick Moranis is reprising his role from the 1989 movie. The story will center on his adult son - played by Josh Gad -- who wants to be a great scientist like his dad but ends up shrinking his own kids. No word yet on a release date.

Fox Is Doing a Series About a Group of Kids Remaking "The Goonies"
It feels like originality is at an all-time low in Hollywood. But does it count as original if you find a NEW way to exploit an OLD property? Because Fox may have done that.
They're working on a new drama related to"The Goonies". . . but it's not a sequel, a remake, or a reboot. It's about a bunch of kids MAKING a shot-by-shot remake of the movie.
They're helped by a substitute teacher, and Fox says, quote, "Over the course of the season, their passion will inspire a town in desperate need of hope in this love letter to the power of cinema, storytelling and dreams."
