Disney is Pushing 13 "Avengers" Stars for Oscar Consideration

Disney is going all-in on the Oscar hype for "Avengers: Endgame". They're asking the Academy to consider 13 cast members for nominations.

ROBERT DOWNEY JR. is obviously one of them, but even he doesn't get to be considered a LEAD actor. They're pushing everyone in the SUPPORTING categories. Here's who else they're backing:

Actor: Chris Evans (Captain America) . . . Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner / The Hulk) . . . Chris Hemsworth (Thor) . . . Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) . . . Josh Brolin (Thanos) . . . Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) . . . and Don Cheadle (War Machine).

Actress: Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) . . . Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper Potts) . . . Zoe Saldana (Gamora) . . . Karen Gillan (Nebula) . . . Brie Larson (Captain Marvel).

As for those NOT nominated, we'd be here all day trying to name them. But the more notable "snubs" include Tom Holland (Spider-Man) . . . Benedict Cumberbatch (Dr. Strange) . . . and Anthony Mackie (The Falcon).

Disney is also backing the film for Best Picture, and Joe and Anthony Russo for Best Director.

Those People Making the James Dean Movie Claim They Auditioned Live Actors, But He Was the Best Fit

So, yeah . . . I'm gonna go ahead and NOT believe this if you don't mind . . .

The guys who cast a dead JAMES DEAN in their movie claim they did NOT mean it as a publicity stunt, and they're SHOCKED that it bothered anyone.

Director Anton Ernst says, quote, "We don't really understand it. We never intended for this to be a marketing gimmick."

He also says the casting was LEGIT, and they actually auditioned LIVING actors . . . but a dead guy was just the best actor for the part. (???)

Quote, "We searched high and low for the perfect character to portray the role . . . which has some extreme complex character arcs, and after months of research, we decided on James Dean."
