My name is Zeeko. You might remember me from the pictures that were posted of me online when I was first found wandering around the streets of Houston. I was in bad shape and really scared. My body had parasites inside and out, my skin felt like it was on fire, and I was very, very hungry. Life was not very good to me back then. However, since that day, my life has gotten much better! And it all started when HBR said yes and agreed to make me part of the HBR family.Now, instead of living on the street, I am living the good life in a foster home. Since being here I have been adjusting well. I am learning to trust people and I have learned that I love to give and receive love. I try to show my foster humans how grateful I am by constantly sticking by their side, leaning against them, and loving them every chance I can get. I even try to snuggle in their laps or right beside them whenever I can.While here, I am also learning how to “dog” and be part of a family. For example, I have learned that I like being around other dogs, I have learned that it is better to go potty outside (not inside), and I am learning how to stay in my kennel. I am also learning some really cool new tricks. Things like sit, stay, and shake. It’s pretty cool, because when I do them I get a treat, my foster family smiles, and when they are happy, I am happy. My foster mama says I am really smart and learning things fast. I would do anything for a family of my own. I’d even be okay with a family that had cats. They don’t bother me at all.My health has really improved and I am expected to make a full recovery.
