Metallica’s Next Album Coming Sooner Than Fans Think

Fans had to weight eight years after Metallica’s album “Death Magnetic” for the release of “Hardwired… To Self-Destruct.” But this time around, the band is promising that the wait won’t be as long.

In a new interview, bassist Robert Trujillo says that their 11th album is coming “a lot sooner than the previous two did.” Seeing as their last album dropped in 2016, the new record could come as soon as 2021 or so.

“I’m excited about the next record because I believe it will also be a culmination of the two record and another journey,” Trujillo adds about the upcoming album. “There’s no shortage of original ideas...this time around I think we’ll be able to jump in on it a lot quicker and jump in the studio and start working.”
