MOVIES: Deadpool Back In Theaters, 007 News + More

New in Theaters: "Once Upon a Deadpool", "Into the Spider-Verse" + More

1. "Once Upon a Deadpool" (PG-13)

Fred Savage joins Ryan Reynolds for a PG-13 version of "Deadpool 2". They've cut out the R-rated profanity, graphic violence, and sexually explicit material so it's, quote, "filtered through the prism of childlike innocence." But it still really pushes the edge.

The new scenes with Fred pay homage to his "Princess Bride" days, with the action repeatedly cutting back to the bedroom as Deadpool reads to him. Except in this case, Ryan's kidnapped Fred and tied him to the bed to force him to listen to the story.

If you'd like "spoilers" for what's been cut from the R-rated version to accommodate its gentler PG-13 rating, there's a detailed breakdown of every change online.

The [Eff] Cancer charity gets $1 of every ticket sold between now and Christmas, but in the spirit of this new rating, their F-bomb was temporarily changed to Fudge Cancer.

The PG-13 "Once Upon a Deadpool" opened on Wednesday, and made $1 million.

2. "The Mule" (R)

Clint Eastwood is hurting for cash and takes a driving job before he realizes he's now a drug mule for a Mexican cartel. And he becomes their best runner, since no one suspects an old man of being a drug smuggler.

Bradley Cooper and Michael Pena are the DEA agents chasing him.

3. "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" (PG)

Shameik Moore plays Miles Morales, a kid who becomes the Spider-Man of his reality and then somehow crosses paths with more spider-heroes from other dimensions. Jake Johnson from "New Girl" is the Peter Parker Spider-Man who mentors him.

The other heroes include Hailee Steinfeld as Spider-Gwen, John Mulaney as the talking pig Spider-Ham, and Nicolas Cage as Spider-Man Noir, a darker version of Spidey in a hat whose costume is based on a World War I airman's uniform.

4. "Mortal Engines" (PG-13)

Peter Jackson is the producer on this adaptation of Philip Reeve's Mortal Engines. It's the first of four books about a futuristic, steampunk version of London, now a giant machine striving to survive on a world running out of resources.

JASON MOMOA says HENRY CAVILL is "absolutely not" done playing Superman.

Are These the 12 Worst Movies of the Year?

TheWrap.com has a list of the 12 WORST movies of the year . . . and there are a lot of big names on it.

So, it's probably more like a most DISAPPOINTING movies list . . . because the REAL worst movies are going to be pieces of junk that you've never heard of. Or you know, something with Adam Sandler.

Here's the list:

1. "The Hurricane Heist". It's about bad guys who use the weather to rob a bunch of money . . . and a good guy who uses the weather to fight the bad guys.

2. "The Happytime Murders". An R-rated dark comedy starring Melissa McCarthy and foul-mouthed puppets.

3. "Gotti". Starring John Travolta as the 'Teflon Don.'

4. "Life Itself". A love story starring Oscar Isaac and Olivia Wilde.

5. "Ready Player One". A sci-fi movie about virtual reality from Steven Spielberg.

6. "The Nutcracker and the Four Realms". A fantasy movie starring Keira Knightley about a young girl who's given a locked egg from her deceased mother and sets out in a magical land to retrieve the key.

7. "Suspiria". The site calls it a, quote, "misguided, unfocused, ugly, and dull remake of a classic horror freak-out."

8. "Fifty Shades Freed". The third movie in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" trilogy.

9. "Christopher Robin". They say it's a "glum and tedious look" at a grown-up Christopher (Ewan McGregor) in the middle of a midlife crisis.

10. A three-way tie between "Peppermint", "Proud Mary", and "Red Sparrow". TheWrap says, quote, "Can we have some strong screenplays to go with our strong female leads, please?

"This trashy trio of action sagas put guns in the hands of some of our most talented actresses, but then forgot to supply them with things like character, motivation, or logic." These movies star Jennifer Garner, Taraji P. Henson, and Jennifer Lawrence, respectively.
