MUSIC: Stone Temple Pilots Have a New Singer + More

1. The Stone Temple Pilots Have a New Singer, Who Hopefully Won't Die

STONE TEMPLE PILOTS are apparently moving forward despite losing two lead singers in the past two years to death.

Their original singer Scott Weiland died of an overdose in 2015, and his replacement Chester Bennington killed himself earlier this year.

STP has a gig lined up for November 14th in West Hollywood their first since Chester's death. According to reports, they WILL have a new lead singer, but no one has any idea who it is.

Last month, bassist Robert DeLeo said, "We've been working with someone I don't want to name names yet and we're making music. I don't know if he's well-known or unknown I don't look at him as 'well-known.'"

One rumored name is former "X Factor" contestant Jeff Gutt. And there's also been talk that they could go the Journey route, because there's a FILIPINO guy they've supposedly been looking at named John Borja.

2. The "supergroup" LEVEE WALKERS released their first single, "All Things Fade Away".

The group consists of Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready, Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan, Screaming Trees drummer Barrett Martin, and some singer you've never heard of.
