'Ted' Coming Back As Prequel Streaming Series

Ted is on his way back to our screens. According to The Hollywood Reporter, everyone's favorite thunder buddy is getting a prequel TV series at Peacock.

Seth McFarlane pitched the idea of bringing Ted back and is expected to return to voice the foul-mothed teddy bear star of 2012's Ted and 2015's Ted 2. His production company is partnering with Universal Pictures and MRC Television to co-produce.

Universal Cable Productions head Beatrice Springborn released the following statement on the new streaming show:

“Over the years, Seth has captured audiences with his comedic genius and this reimagination of ‘Ted’ continues that legacy. The Peacock series will have the same wish fulfillment and fun of the classic movies, while delving more into the adventures and backstory of the beloved foul-mouthed teddy bear and his family.”
