American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy has announced a new spin-off series coming to FX. According to AltPress, while season 10 of AHS is still on the way, the show will also be getting its first official spin-off in American Horror Stories.
The new show will be an anthology series, consisting of self-contained one-hour episodes. Unlike the main show, with its season-long arcs, American Horror Stories will tell a fresh new story each week.
Hollywood is basically shut down right now, so no word on when we might see the new show. Murphy has said in recent interviews that his vision for season 10 was greatly dependent on warmer weather and the current delay would push production into into the colder months, so he's trying to decide if he wants to make changes to that season's plot or move onto another story idea less-dependent on specific weather conditions.
