Young Astros Fan Who Caught Correa's Game 2 Homer Has Heartbreaking Story

'When watching Game 2 of the ALCS between the Houston Astros and the New York Yankees, one person in particular stuck out to all viewers.

That was young fan Carson Riley, who caught Carlos Correa's home run after it bounced off the top of the right field wall.

It's every fan's dream to get a home run ball at a Major League Baseball game, naturally. However, the reason why Carson and his parents, Amanda and Mike, went to the game will leave you in tears.

Two weeks prior to the game, the Riley family's 15-year-old son, Cade, lost his life in an ATV accident near the family's home.

With the Rileys finding it hard to leave their house due to the heartbreak, they found some solace in watching the Astros in the playoffs. After realizing that the 'Stros would start the ALCS at home due to the Yankees defeating the Cleveland Indians, Mike Riley jumped on the chance to purchase tickets to Games 1 and 2. Hopefully, this would help Carson get his mind off the loss of his older brother, price be damned.

After sitting at the third base line for Game 1, the Rileys found themselves front row in right field for the second contest, and it was truly a day to remember for young Carson. Between innings, Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge threw Carson a ball.

Then, in a turn of events, Carson caught Correa's homer mere moments later. As Correa's liner headed towards their direction, it bounced off his glove, rolled onto his mother's lap, and landed at his father's feet. ' - via 12up

It's okay, we're all crying right now!
