Metallica singer/guitarist James Hetfield says the band won't be playing as long as The Rolling Stones but could keep touring into their sixties, just like AC/DC.
In a recent interview with comedian Marc Maron on his most recent WTF Podcast, Hetfield answered how long Metallica will keep playing live.
"You know when people talk about us and our longevity, they're always saying, 'How long you gonna go? You gonna be in your wheel chair...like the Rolling Stones...?'" asked Maron.
"Okay, I kinda get the reference to the Rolling Stones, but for us, we're a little more athletic...I mean, fast songs, really intense. So I say, you know, 'Hey, look at Angus [Young], up there in his--God, I don't know how old he is now--a few hundred years old, but he is unbelievable" responded Hetfield.
