Tom Morello Wants Metalheads to Get It Together to Change the World

Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine spoke at a conference in France last weekend about the state of the world. He's calling on metalheads to "get their [stuff] together" to change the world.

Tom says, quote, "There's really one message that is a thread through all of my music, and that is: the world is not going to change itself. That is up to you. You are not witnesses to history, you are agents of history . . .

"If you wanna make [this planet] a more peaceful, a more just, a more equitable, a more anti-racist, a more environmentally sound place, there's no one to blame if it doesn't happen but you for not standing up."

Tom also says being a guitarist is his calling and now he has to figure out a way to change the world with it.

Willie Nelson Will Soon Be "Back on the Road Again"

Willie Nelson has been going through some health struggles lately and had to miss a few dates on his Outlaw Fest Tour. They were listed as "unspecified health concerns" . . . But the man is 91 years old, so let's cut him a little slack.

In his absence, his son Lukas Nelson filled in to play some of Willie's greatest hits.  Bob DylanRobert Plant, and Allison Krauss all played as scheduled.

But the good news is that Willie is feeling better, and has been cleared to return to his tour. His Instagram said that he will be resuming his tour dates this week.

They have a show tonight in Mansfield, Massachusetts, so everyone is expecting to see him back in action. If not, the next show is Willie's Fourth of July Picnic in Camden, New Jersey.
