Music: Kid Rock Said the N-Word and Waved a Gun Around During Interview

Kid Rock Said the N-Word and Waved a Gun Around During a "Rolling Stone" Interview

There's a fascinating new Kid Rock interview in "Rolling Stone" that asks how he, quote, "went from America's favorite hard-partying rock star to a MAGA mouthpiece."

It questions whether Kid's hard-right turn and incorporation of politics into his music and his stage show are sincere, or a commercial move.

Ultimately, it feels like both.

But toward the end of the interview, things get kind of dark, as a totally WASTED Kid Rock waves a gun around, uses the N-word multiple times, and complains about, quote, "Black women having children they can't afford."

And as the "Rolling Stone" reporter is leaving, Kid Rock says, quote, "Would you do me a favor? Just write the most horrific article about me. Do it. It helps me."

But then he adds, quote, "Will you tell everyone that I was halfway cool?"

SLIPKNOT Drummer Misses Show Because of Dental Emergency

During their headlining set at Sonic Temple festival in Columbus, Ohio, Slipknot took the stage Saturday night without founding percussionist Clown. Frontman Corey Taylor addressed Clown's absence, revealing he had to stay home after breaking a tooth that required removal. Despite being an essential member, Clown insisted the band perform for the fans. Taylor led the crowd in sending love and support to their missing bandmate before dedicating the song "Duality" to him during the encore. While rare, this wasn't Slipknot's first time performing without Clown, who has previously missed shows for injuries, family emergencies, and personal matters over the years. However, the eight-piece powerhouse powered through, ensuring the festival-closing set went on in Clown's absence.
