Are you ready for a new action hero? What if that hero is a nearly 100-year-old woman?
94-year-old June Squibb stars in "Thelma" . . . the story of a woman who loses $10,000 to a scammer pretending to be her grandson. When she gets no satisfaction from the cops, she decides to take matters into her own hands.
Aiding her on her journey is Richard Roundtree . . . the original "Shaft" . . . in one of his last roles. He passed away last October.
"Thelma" also stars Parker Posey, Clark Gregg, Malcolm McDowell, and Nicole Byer. And yes, it's a comedy.
Squibb, who was nominated for an Oscar for "Nebraska" in 2013, says, quote, "I was so proud of myself doing this."
