UPODATE: Bryce Dallas Howard is in the headlines today after commenting during an Insider interview on getting paid "so much less" than co-star Chris Pratt for the Jurassic movies. To his credit, she goes on to say that Pratt was aware of the inequity and pushed to make sure they got paid the same for any ancillary stuff (video games, theme park rides, etc.). Howard says she made more money on those extras than she did for the movies.
This weekend brings us the latest sequel to 1993's Jurassic Park, Jurassic World: Dominion. With that in mind, it seemed like a good time to check out some photos of the leading ladies who've been running from dinosaurs across six movies and three decades. Bryce Dallas Howard
Howard's character Claire Dearing started out as the operations manager of the relaunched dinosaur theme park back in 2015's Jurassic World. She's since gone on to become the leader of the Dinosaur Protection Group, appearing in all three Jurassic World movies.
Laura Dern
She played paleobotanist Dr. Ellie Sattler in the original Jurassic Park (1993), had a quick cameo in Jurassic Park III (2001), and is back this summer for Jurassic World: Dominion.
DeWanda Wise
Wise plays Kayla Watts in Jurassic World: Dominion. Her character is a cargo pilot and adventurer who gets caught up in the dinosaur action while working for the evil corporation at the center of the story.
Julianne Moore
Moore starred in 1997's The Lost World: Jurassic Park. She played paleontologist Dr. Sarah Harding. Her character was hired for an expedition to the island where InGen scientist originally cloned the dinosaurs to populate Jurassic Park. Things did not go well.
Daniella Pineda
Her character, paleo-veterinarian Dr. Zia Rodriguez, made her debut in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018). She appears to be back, and still a member of the Dinosaur Protection Group, in Jurassic World: Dominion.
Téa Leoni
Leoni stars in the third Jurassic Park movie as Amanda Kirby, a mom whose son has gone missing on one of the dinosaur islands. In an effort to find him, she and her ex-husband trick Sam Neill's Dr. Alan Grant into a rescue mission.
