Criminals: The Florida Man with Florida Tattoo on Face Is in Trouble Again

The Florida Man with Florida Tattooed on His Face Is in Trouble Again

If there's a mascot for the proverbial "Florida Man," it could be 23-year-old Matthew Leatham, who has the state of Florida tattooed on his face, right between his eyes.

Matthew was arrested earlier this year for marijuana possession and misuse of 911 after he called 911 looking for a ride home. Now he's in more serious trouble.

He's now facing a felony charge for allegedly trying to strangle his mother. She drove over to his place to take him to work . . . but he was drunk when she arrived, and he didn't want to go.

She says he threw a "large TV" at her, and then when she tried to get away, he grabbed her around the neck. The neighbors called 911, and the police arrived.

Matthew has been charged with domestic battery by strangulation. That's a felony carrying a maximum five-year prison sentence.

(Matthew was more "fun" as a "Florida Man" mascot before he was violent. Hopefully, he's able to get the help he needs before anyone else is hurt.)

A man in New York City called the police on Sunday night and said he was carjacked and a seven-year-old boy with special needs was in the vehicle.

Turns out he LIED about the kid so police would hurry up and find his car. It worked, but now he's been charged with making a false report.

Two Thieves Passed Out from a Gas Leak They Started While Stealing a Furnace

Sometimes karma comes so fast that you HAVEN'T EVEN FINISHED doing the bad deed before the comeuppance arrives.

Two people went into a vacant house in Winnipeg, Canada over the weekend . . . with a genius plan of stealing a furnace, without knowing HOW to steal a furnace.

They dislodged the connections and caused a GAS LEAK. That's bad news, especially because they didn't realize that there was a leak. They both passed out inside the property.

The leak was so bad that the neighbors smelled the gas, and called the police. When they arrived, they discovered the unconscious thieves . . . and pulled them outside, where they were able to regain consciousness.

They were detained but were ultimately released without being charged. It's unclear if they're off the hook, or if they could be cited or arrested down the road. No one was injured.
