Women Kicked Out Of Pub For Wearing ‘Inappropriate’ Halter Tops

Two young women in England are outraged after the manager of a Wetherspoon pub in England kicked them out because of what they were wearing. Mollie and Amy Wood, no relation, were dressed in black halter crop tops, ankle-length skirts, and sneakers when they decided to stop at the pub after watching England beat Croatia. They were let into the pub by the female bouncer, but as they walked inside the manager shouted for them to stop, saying they were dressed inappropriately, and their tops were “equal to a man being shirtless.”

Their tops were skimpy, but they weren’t “topless.” The manager said they’d been kicking shirtless men out the entire day, and he felt that their tops were no different. They say they asked the manager what the dress code was but say they didn’t get a “straight answer.” Mollie also claims she had been served in the same pub earlier in the week wearing the same top.

Is it something to be outraged over? According to TikTok, the answer seems to be “yes,” with other women complaining in the comments on the video they posted after being kicked out, saying they had been ejected from Wetherspoon locations because of what they were wearing. For their part, a company spokesman has said they “support the approach of the pub’s management.”
