Dave Grohl On Foo Fighters’ Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Induction

Foo Fighters is included in his year’s class of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductees. Frontman Dave Grohl has reacted to the news, and to the rest of the lineup.

Speaking to “Rolling Stone,” Dave says the 2021 class is “very important and encouraging.” He says Tina Turner deserves “everything she’s been awarded with,” and between her, Carole King and The Go-Gos, he’s excited to see “so many women” on the list.

Dave is actually on the Hall’s nominating committee, so he’s seen how it works behind the scenes. “It’s not just a bunch of rock musicians sitting around discussing whether your favorite '80s hair metal band should be in or not,” he says. “It’s fun. I like doing it. But of course, there’s a logjam of artists that I think should be inducted right away."

Gene Simmons Blasts Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame

We told you before about this year’s Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductees, and it looks like Gene Simmons isn’t happy with the choices.

Taking to Twitter, he’s reacted to metal legends Iron Maiden being snubbed by the Rock Hall this year. He also thinks Rage Against The Machine should’ve been inducted.

“RR Hall of Fame is a shame not to include Maiden. Disgusting!” he writes. “Sadly, Rage Against The Machine shut out of RR Hall of Fame. The Hall should be ashamed of themselves…” Check out the tweets below.
