Every year on Veteran's Day she messages me "you're welcome" ---she'll be featured on CBS national sometime this week:)
One of the most impactful women in my life, is now an angel!!!
Here's my Aunt Anna.
Luckily, our family has a podcast of her telling her life stories.
Now, I want to talk about historic figures (there are way too many to name so I'll give you my top 3)
Let's start with Frances Perkins:

This BAD BITCH outlined a set of policy priorities she would pursue for President Roosevelt: a 40-hour work week; a minimum wage; unemployment compensation; worker’s compensation; abolition of child labor; direct federal aid to the states for unemployment relief; Social Security; a revitalized federal employment service; and universal health insurance
LIKE OK QUEEN GO OFF!!!
Another certified baddie is Dolores Huerta
... an American labor leader and civil rights activist who, with Cesar Chavez, is a co-founder of the National Farmworkers Association, which later became the United Farm Workers. Check her out:
Dolores basically changed the landscape for the nations farm workers and managed to raise 11 children. WHAT A FUCKING LEGEND.
Next up to bat... Sojourner Truth
Iconic for soooooooo many reasons:
- The first Black woman to win a court case against a white man
-Copyrighted her own face to fund her speaking tours
-helped recruit black troops for the Union Army
Alright, cue the Biggie track...let's get Notorious
A REMINDER FROM RUTH:
Women will only have true equality when men share with them the responsibility of bringing up the next generation.
And what blog page is complete without a TikTok reminding you to be a boss bitch at work...even if it terrifies you!!!!
