Popeye’s Quietly Removes Two Of Its Coveted Sides From The Menu
Bad news for fans of Popeye’s Cajun Rice and Green Beans sides. The company has quietly dropped them from the menu. The Twitterverse is decidedly unamused, but company reps maintain, “We still have a bunch of delicious sides to offer!”
Still, losing these dishes leaves a bitter taste in many mouths...especially over the Cajun Rice. As @grrrlcharlie offered via Twitter: “First Taco Bell ruins their menu, and now Popeye’s is getting rid of Cajun Rice. WHY ARE YOU KICKING US WHEN WE ARE ALREADY DOWN?”
That’s worth noting, as a social media backlash saw Taco Bell put some items back on the menu. Who knows if that’ll work for these folks – but good luck, people!
