Twenty One Pilots have shared an 80s-themed lyric video for their "Level Of Concern".

The Music Industry Is Calling for a "Blackout" Today . . . What Does That Mean?

The music industry is "BLACKING OUT" today in response to the deep racial unrest, after recent deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and "countless other Black citizens at the hands of police."

It's an initiative that started on social media called #TheShowMustBePaused. . . and it's meant to be "a day to take a beat for an honest, reflective, and productive conversation about what actions we need to collectively take to support the Black community."

Def Jam, Interscope, Columbia Records, Island Records, Sony/ATV, Capitol, Republic, Warner Music Group, BMG, UMG, and independent distributor EMPIRE are among the record labels who have joined in.

But it's unclear exactly what is happening. There are a lot of strong sentiments about the racism and protests . . . and there are promises to formulate more specific directives in the future . . . but there's no clear definition for now.

Some labels have given employees the day off . . . others aren't putting out music this week . . . others are canceling programming, like radio shows . . . and there are some who are donating to causes and working with non-profits.

Carrie Underwood reposted the Universal Music Group's statement that they will not be conducting business today in observance of "Blackout Tuesday." She added, quote, "The show must be paused."

Pearl Jam Selling Shirt For Gun Violence Awareness Week

Pearl Jam is highlighting Gun Violence Awareness Week by selling a new T-shirt to raise money for organizations working to prevent gun violence. The band said they had always planned to launch the shirt this week, but felt it was even more important in the wake of George Floyd’s death.

“We planned to release a new version of the Choices shirt today as part of Gun Violence Awareness Week to fundraise for frontline organizations working to prevent gun violence,” the band shares. “The events of this past week have underscored the importance of this issue and remind us that Black Americans are ten times more likely than white Americans to die by gun homicide.”

They add, “We continue to stand with communities of color and all of those taking actions for racial justice across America. Proceeds will go to the Vitalogy Foundation to support organizations working to prevent gun violence in the United States.” Check out the shirts below.

Charlie Worsham plays several different instruments on a Cover Challenge of David Bowie's 1977 song "Heroes".

(He dedicated it to the healthcare workers on the frontline.)

David Guetta is getting RAKED OVER THE COALS for giving Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech a dance-friendly, EDM remix.
