Food: Must See; 70-Layer Dip Now Holds A Guinness World Record!

Must See; 70-Layer Dip Now Holds A Guinness World Record!

With the Super Bowl just days away, the bean experts at Bush’s wanted to create a super-size version of a game day party staple: 7-layer dip. They didn’t just go big, they went ten-times bigger with a 70-layer dip that now holds the Guinness World Record for “largest layer dip.”

This enormous version of the classic appetizer weighed in at 1,087 pounds - which is over half a ton! It was made with “10 unique 7-layer bean dip recipes” stacked on top of each other and the finished product featured:

·91-pounds of veggie dip,

·145-pounds of Cuban dip,

·118-pounds of Capers dip,

·106-pounds of loaded baked potato dip,

·100-pounds of Buffalo dip,

·98-pounds of Mediterranean dip,

·126-pounds of fiesta dip,

·119-pounds of spicy dip,

·89-pounds of barbecue dip, and finally,

·95-pounds of classic dip.

This franken-dip took 19 people more than 227 hours to build and after it was certified by Guinness, it was given away to a local charity organization to be enjoyed. Let’s hope they had a lot of chips on hand.

Planters Is Pausing Their Ads About Mr. Peanut's Death . . . But the Super Bowl Ad Is Still a Go

After the real-life tragic death of KOBE BRYANT, Planters has decided to "pause" their ad campaign hyping the tragic death of Mr. Peanut.

If you're wondering what the connection is . . . apparently, people were searching #RIP-related hashtags on social media to see stuff about Kobe, and Planters had a bunch of sponsored posts about Mr. Peanut.

And a press mailer with "prayer candles" for Mr. Peanut was recently sent out.

So, you know, it just felt a little WRONG . . . especially since there's a decent chance that Mr. Peanut won't actually be dead and gone forever.

That said, Planters is still moving forward with their Super Bowl ads, which will somehow involve Mr. Peanut's funeral.

A rep said, quote, "We deeply regret any offense or upset caused by this coincidental timing . . . we're saddened by this weekend's news and Planters has paused all [online] campaign activities, including paid media, and will evaluate next steps through a lens of sensitivity to those impacted by this tragedy."
