Music: A Police 👮‍♂️ Biopic…? Sting says NO!

A Police Biopic…? Sting says NO!

Music biopics are all the rage these days, but there's one guy who won't be getting that treatment.

STING was asked if he'd ever allow one to be made about him, and he said, quote, "Absolutely not. I just don't think I want to. I'm telling my story in an artistic way."

What he's talking about is a musical he wrote called"The Last Ship". It ran on Broadway in 2014, and it's currently playing a theater in Los Angeles.

It's based on Sting's childhood in a working class ship-building town in Northern England.

He adds, quote, "That's the way I want to do it, rather than somebody going, 'What's the arc of Sting's life?' I haven't finished it yet."

My Chemical Romance Teasing New Music?

My Chemical Romance has been keeping fans on their toes even after their big reunion show in December. The band has been dropping teasers on social media, and their latest has fans thinking new music is on the way.

My Chemical Romance has dropped a video on their YouTube channel that has pretty much all of their fans talking. The visual shows some cloaked figures walking through a forest and performing some kind of dark magic ritual, with an unfamiliar instrumental track in the background.

By the end, it appears to be a simple concert announcement, since it wraps with a black screen with the words, “My Chemical Romance, Stadium MK, June 20, 2020, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom.” But fans in the comments aren’t convinced the band would go through all the trouble with the video just to announce one show. Listen to the instrumental and check out the video to the right.

In Case You Missed It!!!

A dad recorded a year's worth of baby noises from his newborn son . . . and then arranged them so they'd sound just like "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC.

(Speaking of, rumors abound that AC/DC will tour this fall with Brian Johnson back on lead vocals.)

Metallica Pays Tribute To Their Late Bassist’s Father Who Died Last Week

Metallica have paid tribute to the father of their late bassist Cliff BurtonRayBurton died this past Wednesday from pneumonia at the age of 94.

“For 38 years, we were lucky enough to have the energy, wisdom and light of Ray in our lives,” the band shared on their website. “His eternal youth with his drive, positivity and relentless smile were both incredibly powerful and stirringly honest.” They continued, “That he has passed away leaves an indefinable feeling of sadness and loss, but equally, we know Ray wouldn’t want us ‘moping around on our darn keisters’ for too long.”

Finally, the band notes, “So, in honor of him, and the kind of man he was, we also want to truly celebrate the 94 years of life Ray gave everyone, knowing in certainty that a glint of his light, wisdom, and energy will always be with us all wherever we go.” Read the complete tribute here.

Subject:Alter Ego Concert

Hey Rod, I was one of the winners of the trip to LA for the Alter Ego Concert from iHeartRadio. I ended up taking my son and we had an absolute blast.

We headed out really early on Friday and took advantage of the trip by hitting Universal Studios and the Hollywood strip. We also got to spend time in the Venice Beach area on Sunday before we headed back home. It was a great trip and we would love for you to pass along to iHeartRadio how much we appreciate it. I attached several from the trip.

Btw, not to knock the venu or the radio personalities in the LA area but the you, your team and Buzz Festivals her are so much better. You sometimes forget how good you have it at home.

Cheers,

Shawn Payne from Conroe
