Fans Not Happy About Disney Plus’ “Home Alone” Remake
Disney Plus announced their upcoming remake of “Home Alone,” starring “Office” actress Ellie Kemper, comedian Rob Delaney and “Jojo Rabbit” breakout star Archie Yates. In the era of reboots and revivals, fans aren’t as thrilled about this one.
Since the announcement, the Twitterverse has been bashing the upcoming “reimagining” of the original 90s classic starring Macaulay Culkin. The consensus? Fans want Hollywood to know that “not everything needs a remake.”
“Because they’re rich, Kevin’s parents arrange for a Lyft to pick him up from home and venmo him airfare to catch up with the rest of the family in Paris,” writes Twitter user Brian. “Home Alone doesn’t need a remake because it doesn’t work in our time.”
I'm sure this will change, but"The Matrix 4"and"John Wick 4"are currently scheduled to hit theaters on the same day in 2021.
