Chris Cornell Movie Casts Its Stars

·

Brad Pitt’s upcoming movie about the life of late Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell has tapped its stars. Actor Launchlin MacDonald will play the late music icon in the movie’s dramatized scenes, with Robert De Niro’s adoptive daughter Drena De Niro set to play his wife Vicky Cornell.

You may know MacDonald from his roles in the film “Ocean’s Thirteen,” or his TV roles in “Hollywood Girl,” “Lucky Stars” and “Lucy.” De Niro has acted in films like 1998’s “Great Expectations” and last year’s “Furlough.”

A coupe more important roles have been filled, as well. Cornell’s mom Karen will be played by Adelicia Morris, and Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayill by Sandeep. Otherwise, the movie will feature archival footage of Soundgarden, Audioslave, Pearl Jam and Nirvana.

"Kill Bill Volume 1" tops a list of the 40 greatest soundtracks of all time.

Believe it or not, it's been almost a dozen years since we've heard new music from Huey Lewis & The News.

But the drought ends NOW. Check out a new track called "Her Love is Killin' Me". It's part of a new album that'll be out next year. It doesn't have a title yet.

Jeff Lynne's ELO also dropped a new track yesterday. It's called "From Out of Nowhere". It's from an album of the same name that's due out November 1st.
