Houston Boxer Rescue Dog of the Week: Arthur

The Rod Ryan Show has teamed up with Houston Boxer Rescue to bring you the featured dog of the week! Today we have Arthur

Hi! I’m Arthur. I’m glad to meet you and I’m glad you’re here. I am a three-year-old male boxer who is looking for my forever home. Until now, my life has not been what I expected or planned. Let me tell you my story.

I lived the majority of my life in an outdoor kennel. I wasn’t allowed inside, and it was a rough life. I eventually escaped that life, and was taken in by a rescue. That other rescue helped me to join the HBR family. And that is how I am writing to you now from this awesome foster home.

And now that I’m here, I’m doing everything I can to show everyone what an awesome dog I am! I sleep in my kennel all night without making a sound, and I know to only go potty outside. I know how to behave and play well with other dogs and with kids of all ages. I am friendly to one and all!

Now I want to be honest. I don’t want to represent myself as a perfect, when I’m not. But I ask you who is? So If I’m being honest, i’d have to tell you that I still get really excited when I get to come inside the house. It causes me to spin around and act all goofy like. Also, I’ve been known to dig a hole or two in the backyard. However that’s just a carryover from my old life, I dig them because when you lay in them they’re cool. Sometimes I forget that I’m allowed inside now. But don’t worry I’m smart, and I’m learning fast!

Finally there’s one last thing I want to tell you, but I’m a little scared too. I don’t want you to stop reading! You see, the people who I lived with before didn’t take the best care of me. They neglected me and my medical needs. They didn’t take me to the vet when I got a growth on my jaw, and they let me get these little things called Heartworms. But don’t worry, I’m going to be just fine! HBR has taken me to the vet and got me all fixed up! Now that growth is history and no risk to me. Also they promised to see me through my heartworm treatment. Before you know it, I’m going to be good as new!

I’m sure by now you’ve come to the conclusion that I have. The only thing missing in my life is a forever family. And I think that just might be you! Why don’t you go ahead and fill out an adoption application and will find out.

Please contact HBR if you are interested in Arthur
