Metallica Frontman’s Car Collection In New Exhibition
Metallica frontman James Hetfield is putting his collection of heavy metal on display. The rocker has donated his custom car collection to the Petersen Automotive Museum for their upcoming “Hypercars” exhibit.
Here are some of the custom wheels featured in his collection, for you car enthusiasts out there:
·“Voodoo Priest,” a ‘37 Lincoln Zephyr.
·“Slow Burn,” a ‘36 Auburn roadster.
·“Aquarius,” a Delahaye inspired ‘34 Packard
·“Iron Fist,” a ‘36 Ford in bare metal
·“Black Pearl,” a custom ‘48 Jaguar
·“Grinch,” a ‘52 Olds
·“Skyscraper,” a ‘53 Buick Skylark
The cars go on display next February in the museum’s Bruce Meyer Family Gallery, along with some of Hetfield and Metallica’s memorabilia. The rocker has also been named a founding member of the museum, an honor given only to the museum’s most generous donors.
