Food: Jimmy John's Is Making Its Own Wine?

Jimmy John's Is Making Its Own Wine?

Well this is an unexpected move from a business that's centered around slapping cold cuts onto bread as quickly as possible.

Jimmy John's just made its own WINE. It's a Pinot Noir called Vin de Sandwich and the bottles cost $30.

They made it to go with a new sandwich called the Frenchie, which has salami, capicola, provolone, and salted butter. If you want a bottle, you can order it by going to VinDeSandwich.com

Spinach Ice Cream Is Now on Sale

Just because you CAN turn any food into ice cream doesn't mean you SHOULD.

A small ice cream chain in New York and L.A. called Van Leeuwen Ice Cream just launched a new SPINACH ICE CREAM. They did it in honor of Popeye's 90th birthday.

And the reviews are . . . mixed. Mostly, people say they can taste the coconut cream the ice cream was made with more than the spinach . . . which may or may not be a good thing.

Burger King Might Be Offering to Pay off Student Loans . . . or This Is a Publicity Stunt That Could Backfire

I wouldn't hate a trend where more rich people and corporations follow the lead of the billionaireRobert F. Smith, who paid off the student debt for Morehouse College's entire graduating class this year.

Yesterday morning, Burger King posted a very short tweet saying, quote, "Got student loans? What's [your] cashtag?"

A cashtag is your username on Cash App, which is one of those apps where people can make payments to each other. It's like Venmo, PayPal.Me, and the rest.

Burger King hasn't said a WORD about what they meant . . . but tens of thousands of people have responded to the tweet so far hoping it's BK deciding to pay off everyone's student loans.

Of course, Burger King is known for its TROLLING marketing strategy lately . . . although they mostly troll McDonald's.

So if this IS a joke . . . it could backfire in a nasty way.

Cool Ranch Doritos Have A Cooler Name In The Netherlands

Just because a food has one name in the U.S. doesn’t mean that’s the same thing it’s called in other countries. Some famous American brands go by totally different names in other places, for example, Smarties candies are called Rockets in Canada and Burger King is Hungry Jacks in Australia. It seems some of our beloved chips also go by another name in Europe.

Thanks to some Redditors, we know that Cool Ranch Doritos are known as “Cool Original” in the UK, and they have a different name in the Netherlands. To the Dutch, the iconic blue bag of Doritos is called “Cool American” flavor. But what we really want to know is what do “Cool Americans” taste like?
