It's International Waffle Day.
Did you know that Waffle House has its own record label? It's called Waffle Records, and it makes original music for Waffle House jukeboxes. Here's a song they put out in 1999. The singer is Mary Welch Rogers, the wife of Waffle House co-founder Joe Rogers. It's from a bunch of songs written for Waffle House by Buckner and Garcia, the guys who sang "Pac-Man Fever".

There's a New Beer That Can Also Be Used to Develop Film?
If you've ever developed pictures in a dark room, like maybe for photography class back in high school, you know that it takes a LOT of chemicals to pull it off. So . . . um . . . this isn't reassuring.
Dogfish Head Brewery just created a new beer that can also be used to develop film. The beer is made with a bunch of different fruits, including pear, mango, and blackberries, and somehow also can be used to develop your pictures.
It's called SuperEIGHT, and it goes on sale next month. So if you're the rare subset of hipster who likes fruit-flavored craft beers AND uses a film camera, what a victory for you.
