Ft. Bend County Animal Services in Rosenberg Needs YOUR Help

We received an email from Barbara Vass asking us for help at the Fort Bend County Animal Services in Rosenberg and here at the Rod Ryan Show we'd do anything for our furry four-legged friends!

From Barbara:

Fort Bend County Animal Services in Rosenberg is at critical capacity and we are asking for your help to let the public know that our shelter is overcrowded and in need of adopters, rescues and/or fosters.   We have a PUSH List (Pets Urgently Seeking Homes) that currently still has 8 dogs on it who have been here for months and these are the dogs most in need of a home as soon as possible.  Any dog that is adopted, rescued or fostered now allows for space to open up in the kennel – which we desperately need.

Our adoption fee, which includes basic vaccines, Rabies vaccine, microchip, spay/neuter and heartworm/combo test, are waived while we try to help our pets find homes.  Anything that you can do that can help alert the public to our situation would be greatly appreciated by our pets.

She goes on say:

Walking through the kennel at Fort Bend County Animal Services in Rosenberg any morning is challenging when you have amazing dogs and beautiful cats that need a home but when the kennel is crowded to the point of navigating black wire kennels with dogs in the hallways and offices, it is heartbreaking.

Currently, there are 130 dogs and 50 cats that need to be adopted, rescued or fostered (we only have space for 78 dogs) with 8 on our PUSH List that need immediate homes. But, every dog that is adopted opens a kennel space which helps all of the dogs on and off the PUSH list! All of our adoption fees are waived through Saturday and we desperately need help.

If you cannot adopt right now, be a foster parent – all that requires is a home, love and a willingness to help share your foster on your social media to find that perfect home. As always we ask that you please share all of our pets on your social media, sharing saves lives. To see all of the pets available at our shelter, you can visit our website at www.fortbendcountypets.com or our Facebook page, Fort Bend County Pets – Fort Bend County Animal Services.
