1. KFC Is Finally Getting on the Chicken and Waffles Trend
This is a real testament to how SLOWLY giant bureaucracies can move. America's most prominent fried chicken restaurant is finally getting in on the fried chicken-and-waffles trend that exploded like a decade ago.
KFC just started testing a chicken and waffles combo at two stores in North Carolina and one in South Carolina. If you order the combo, you get two square Belgian waffles and two pieces of fried chicken, plus some butter-flavored syrup.
And if the test goes well, KFC will expand the item to other cities at the end of July.
2. A Restaurant Just Set the World Record for "Most Expensive Milkshake" at $100
It takes a real dedication to gratuitous extravagance to turn some ice cream and milk into something like THIS. A restaurant in New York City called Serendipity 3 just set the Guinness World Record for the Most Expensive Milkshake. And it costs $100.
So how did they make it that expensive? Basically they just imported the most expensive version of every standard milkshake ingredient, including:
Milk from cows in the Channel Islands, ice cream from Tahiti, a rare caramel sauce from Venezuela and Maraschino cherries from Italy. Oh, and edible gold on top.
