Stephen Colbert wasn't off TV very long. Just one day after his final "Late Show" aired, he was back on the airwaves . . . on a Michigan public access show called "Only in Monroe".
He said, quote, "It's been an excruciating 23 hours without being on TV, so I am grateful to be able to be here on Monroe Community Media before they also get acquired by Paramount."
Stephen had guests, too: Jack White, Jeff Daniels, Steve Buscemi, and Eminem.
Oh, he also spoke on Facetime with Byron Allen, the guy who took over his timeslot.
By the way . . . Stephen's final "Late Show" drew 6.74 million viewers. That's the biggest audience for a weeknight episode during his tenure. He was averaging 2.4 to 2.7 million viewers during his final season.
