Diet Coke will return the popular lime flavor years after it was discontinued in 2018.
Diet Coke Lime will return to stores nationwide on October 6, in 12-ounce cans and 20-ounce bottles for a limited time while supplies last, the New York Post reports. Coca-Cola introduced Diet Coke Lime in 2004, one year prior to the launch of a lime version of its regular Coca-Cola Classic.
The company is looking to cash in on the early-2000s nostalgia craze, releasing the soda with retro-inspired neon lime packaging for its upcoming return. Diet Coke Lime was discontinued in 2018 and replaced with Diet Coke Ginger Lime, while Coca-Cola later launched Coke Zero Sugar Lime in 2019.
Numerous Diet Coke Lime fans shared their excitement over the announced return of the popular soft drink.
