Musicians Across Multiple Genres Sign Anti-AI Letter
Stars like Katy Perry, Billie Eilish, and The Jonas Brothers have joined a petition against the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in music creation, saying it can threaten to real human artists' rights. The Artists Rights Alliance initiated the petition, urging AI developers and tech companies to cool it with “devaluing” artists.
"We, the undersigned members of the artist and songwriting communities, call on AI developers, technology companies, platforms and digital music services to cease the use of artificial intelligence to infringe upon and devalue the rights of human artists," the petition began. While artists believe that AI "has enormous potential to advance human creativity,” it goes on to warn, “some platforms and developers are employing AI to sabotage creativity and undermine artists, songwriters, musicians and rightsholders.”
Other artists like FINNEAS, Imagine Dragons, Sheryl Crow, Zayn Malik, Miranda Lambert, Stevie Wonder and Queen's Brian May have also signed the petition.

Lzzy Hale's Temporary Skid Row Gig Might Not Be So Temporary
Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale was brought on temporarily to replace exiting Skid Row frontman Erik Gronwall. Well, it seems the new gig may not be so temporary after all. “You never know,” Hale slyly remarked when asked if she would travel on with Skid Row after the announced four-date engagement. “I will say something that most likely will happen is that these will not be the only fur dates you ever hear. I will say that.” She even left open the idea of stepping in permanently, saying “sounds like a pretty good gig for me.”

Glass Animals Announce Fourth Album, Release " Creatures In Heaven"
British rock group Glass Animals is returning after a four-year new music hiatus. The rockers have announced “I Love You So F*****g Much,” their follow-up to 2020’s “Dreamland,” is due out July 19th.
“These words take on a different meaning every time you say them,” said frontman Dave Bayley of the new album’s title. “The universe may make us feel overwhelmingly small, but we have this human connection that is far vaster and most mysterious.”
While some fans expect a tour in support of the new album to come soon, Glass Animals has confirmed in California right before week one of Coachella and then in Mexico City shortly after.

John Oates Is Releasing an Album Called "Reunion", But It's Not About a Reunion with Daryl Hall
John Oates is releasing a new album, but the title doesn't mean what you probably hope it does. It's called "Reunion", but it has nothing to do with Daryl Hall.
He released the title track yesterday, which he actually co-wrote with Jim Croce's son A.J.
John says, quote, "I began to think about the true definition of the word. It came together when my 100-year-old father told me that he was making ready to be together with my mother, who had passed away some time ago . . .
"I wanted to write about the idea of reconnecting with the most essential part of our soul and our spirit . . . We recorded it in Nashville with some of my best friends and were able to capture the truth as I envisioned it to be."
He's also kicking off a solo tour tonight in New York.
"Reunion" comes out May 17th.

Post Malone is teasing more country. He posted a clip of himself "workin" in the studio. He's riffing with an acoustic guitar and gave a shoutout to Larry Franklin.
