HOUSTON CRIME! "The Little Rascals" . . . Robbed a Bank?
These may not be stupid criminals . . . but their PARENTS are . . . for allowing their kids to mess up their lives seriously.
Three boys robbed a Wells Fargo bank in Houston last Thursday during their spring break. According to the FBI, their ages are 11, 12, and 16 . . . and they're being called the "Little Rascals."
But it isn't cute. The boys passed a threatening note to a teller . . . were given some amount of money . . . and ran off on foot . . . until the police nabbed them.
Technically, it's unclear if they were armed since they didn't produce a weapon during the robbery. But the police say they think they WERE . . . and they did recover a gun while apprehending the kids.
So far, the "Little Rascals" have been charged with robbery by threat, which is a second-degree felony. They're looking at probation or juvie.
A Houston news station conducted a poll asking whether PARENTS should be charged in crimes like these, and 60% said YES . . . 11% said NO . . . and 29% said it depends on the circumstances.
Of course, there's a chance that an adult put them up to this . . . but the investigation is still ongoing. No one has said how much they took from the bank, or if it has been recovered.
