Ten Irish Bands Pull Out Of SXSW In Protest

The scandal has rocked this year’s SXSW showcase. Ten Irish bands have withdrawn from the festival in solidarity with Palestine after discovering the US Army and defense contractor RTX Corporation are “super sponsors” of the event. RTX is said to have supplied weapons to Israel during their conflict in Gaza, and this is cited as the reason for the mass exit. Enola Gay, Conchur, Kneecap, Sprints, Soda Blonde, Gavin James, Robert Grace, Mick Flannery, Chalk, Gurriers, Cardinal, and New Dad have all confirmed their withdrawal, and because of this, the event’s “Music From Ireland” showcase will not go on this year.

Watch Jason Derulo Run Offstage for a Bathroom Break

When an artist needs to use the bathroom in the middle of a concert, they usually find a way to sneak offstage without people noticing. Rarely do they just bolt in the middle of a song and dance number.

It's even rarer that they ask the audience for PERMISSION first. But that's what Jason Derulo did during a show the other night in Leeds, England.

He actually stopped the song first, then said to the audience, quote, "Guys I'm so sorry, but do you mind if I just go use the bathroom real quick?"

The audience BOOED, but Jason ran off to take care of business anyway.

But if there's one thing we know about Jason Derulo, it's that he's kind of a social media MASTER. And he later turned the whole thing into a funny bit where he runs backstage and pees into a bottle . . . and one of his crew almost drinks it.
