Next week is Spring Break, and that means people in coastal areas are bracing for drunken debauchery.
Google Trends just released a map of the most searched spring break destinations by state, and Miami is #1 for most of the country.
34 states have Miami as their top search, seven more have Fort Lauderdale as their number one, four states are looking into South Padre Island, Texas, and two states are prioritizing Myrtle Beach.
Three states had unique picks. Idaho is searching Mexico's Puerto Vallarta . . . Utah is searching Mexico's Playa del Carmen . . . and Connecticut is searching Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
A separate report analyzed the WORST airports for Spring Break travel . . . particularly for delayed and canceled flights during this time . . . and maybe not coincidentally, they include some of the most popular domestic destinations.
Fort Lauderdale is #1 . . . followed by Las Vegas, Orlando, Baltimore, Chicago, Miami, Newark, Dallas, Denver, and New York City.
The BEST airport for Spring Break travel is: Pittsburgh.
