Scott Weiland's Estate Nabs "Partnership" For His Song Rights
The estate of late rocker Scott Weiland has struck a deal with publishers Primary Wave for the singer’s catalog. The deal will give the company a “partnership” in the singer’s catalog, including his work in both Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver.
“We believe that Primary Wave are the perfect partners to secure Scott’s legacy as one of the great frontmen in rock history,” writes estate reps Brian Harris Frank and Dana Dufine. This agreement comes shortly after Weiland’s son Noah revealed “my dad was millions in debt when he died.”
The heir also admitted that “even if my dad’s estate does get out of debt, I don’t even want that money.” But considering this deal is set to generate new revenue on Scott’s “name, image and likeness” plus explore “new marketing, branding, digital and synch opportunities,” it might help the Weiland family right their financial ship.

David Lee Roth Lashed Out at Wolfgang Van Halen
Van Halen has been gone for years . . . and yet somehow, the dysfunction will not die. Now David Lee Roth is attacking Wolfgang Van Halen.
Dave posted a YouTube video griping about how Wolfgang . . . whom he repeatedly refers to as, quote, "This [effin'] kid" . . . treated him on the last Van Halen tour.
According to Dave, Wolfie spent the tour complaining that Dave wasn't paying enough attention to him. Also, at two different shows, he had women thrown out that Dave had invited.
Dave says Wolfie thought they were "girlfriends," but they were actually tour ACCOUNTANTS.
The video starts with Dave interviewing "Jesus Christ," who says, quote, "Bro, I just want people to know . . . I got this job because of my talent. I woulda had this job anyway, even if my dad wasn't God."
It's not clear why Dave has an ax to grind here . . . but in 2022, Wolfgang complained that a proposed Van Halen tribute tour fell apart because "some people" were too difficult to work with.
Everyone naturally assumed that "some people" were . . . David Lee Roth.

Is Coachella Still Cool? Ticket Sales Say Otherwise
Is the Coachella Festival still cool? Ticket sales have been the slowest in 10 years.
Passes are still available at the second and third tiers for weekend one and at every tier for weekend two. They've been on sale since last Friday. In recent years, it would sell out within MINUTES or at the very least, within hours.
The Coachella website is also allowing people to purchase up to eight passes, compared to two in previous years.
It looks like not even the return of No Doubt has people excited enough to go. The other headliners include Lana Del Rey, Doja Cat, and Tyler, the Creator.
(You can see the lineup here.)
