Does Machine Gun Kelly's New Razor Blade-Shaped Guitar Promote Self-Harm?

Machine Gun Kelly is under fire for his latest guitar collaboration with Schecter Guitars, because people say it promotes self-harm.

That's because it's an electric guitar with a razor blade-shaped body in metallic silver. It's creatively called "The Machine Gun Kelly Razor Blade".

In case you didn't know, there's a stereotype within the pop-punk/emo genre that fans cut themselves.

When MGK introduced the guitar at a recent show, he said it's an ode to the crazy times he had in his 20s and an ode to his album "Tickets to My Downfall", and a lyric from the song "Title Track".

He also took to Twitter to say, quote, "I'll never explain my art, because true art is conversational and always up for interpretation . . .

"But I will say, most of you constantly interpret it wrong and then blame me for your version of what you think my art is. Ultimately I'm sad at how people perceive me in general. Peace."

The guitar has already been marked down from $2,169 to $1,499.

Godsmack recently announced their upcoming album, “Lighting Up The Sky,” which is probably their final album. Admitting the group’s record label was “bummed out,” the rocker confessed, “You can never say never.” Erna went on to reveal that late Rush drummer Neil Peart told him: “It doesn’t matter how great you are, who you are. But all great things are gonna come to an end at some point. And I just never forgot that.”
