MUSIC NEWS: Did Rage Against the Machine Break Up Again?

Did Rage Against the Machine Break Up Again?

Sorry, Rage Against the Machine fans.  If you've been waiting for rescheduled tour dates, drummer Brad Wilk has an announcement for you.

In a social media post, he said, quote, "I don't want to string people or myself along any further.  I want to let you know that RATM (Tim [Commerford], Zack [de la Rocha], Tom [Morello] and I) will not be touring or playing live again . . .

"I'm sorry for those of you who have been waiting for this to happen.  I really wish it was . . ."

Brad added in his caption, quote, "Bottom of my heart . . . Thank you to every person who has ever supported us."

Sounds like they've broken up . . . again.

(As of last night, no other band members or the band's official IG account have posted statements.)

Elon Musk Makes Up A Word In An Attempt To Bash Green Day.

Green Day, never a band to be shy with their politics, shook viewers with a Donald Trump-targeted lyric change in “American Idiot” during their televised New Year’s Eve performance. Online critics weren’t silent either… and that includes billionaire Elon Musk.

In fact, Musk was so incensed over the rockers’ dig at the former president and his supporters that he felt the need to make up a word that doesn’t exist. “Green Day goes from raging against the machine to milquetoastedly (sic) raging for it,” he quipped, including two laughter-with-tears emojis.

And followers didn’t let the Tesla founder get away with it. “‘Milquetoastedly’ is not a word in any way shape or form,” responded one X/Twitter user. “Milquetoast is the adjective. If you’re going to form the adverbial form it would be ‘milquetoasty.’”

Noel Gallagher Drops Single "In A Little While”

Former Oasis star Noel Gallagher spent a lot of 2023 avoiding a return to the band with his brother Liam. But the High Flying Birds frontman seems to be assuring fans that 2024 won’t be a quiet one… he’s already released a new single. “In A Little While” was originally teased by the British star on New Year’s Eve before sharing the full acoustic demo. This is the newest in a trend of holiday releases from Gallagher, which included “We’re Gonna Get There In The End” in 2020 and “Trying To Find A World That’s Been And Gone: Part 1” in 2022.
