"SpongeBob SquarePants" Will Join Nickelodeon's Super Bowl Telecast
"SpongeBob SquarePants" and Patrick Star will assist in calling the Super Bowl game during Nickelodeon's telecast. They'll be joining sportscasters Nate Burleson and Noah Eagle. Other characters will get in on the fun, too.
Sandy Cheeks will report from the sidelines, and Larry the Lobster will provide live commentary. "Dora the Explorer" and Boots will also drop in to help explain penalty calls.
Super Bowl 58 goes down on February 11th at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Characters will also join Nate and Noah during Nickelodeon's Christmas Day football telecast. It's called "Nickmas," and viewers will get to see "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" Raphael and Donatello.

NCAA Prez Proposes Subdivision Where Schools Pay Players Directly
Yesterday, NCAA president Charlie Barker made an announcement that seemed inevitable but could end up shaking up college athletics…if followed through upon. The idea Barker’s proposing would create “a new FBS (football subdivision) that would allow the highest-resource schools to compensate athletes directly through a trust, as well as NIL.” Along with that, Barker says “rules should change for any Division I school, at their choice, to enter into name, image, and likeness licensing opportunities with their student-athletes.” As it stands now, schools aren’t permitted to “enter NIL deals directly with athletes.” Finally, Baker’s proposal says that it should be made possible for Division I schools to “offer student-athletes any level of enhanced educational benefits they deem appropriate.” Make no mistake…”pay for play” is coming…it’s just a matter of who gets left behind.
