Matt Cameron Confirms New Pearl Jam Music Is Close

Hold on to your hats, Pearl Jam fans, and it sounds like new music is coming soon. As we told you, the band confirmed they’d been working with producer Andrew Watt to make a new LP. According to one band member, their effort was complete.

“We did make a record with Andrew Watt,” confirmed drummer Matt Cameron. He added that the new album is “in the can, mastered, mixed, ready to go.” The rocker dropped even better news by speculating the album would be out next year… but then he added a caveat. “(The) powers that be are trying to figure out when that’s going to come out and touring and all that stuff,” he cautioned. Still… it sounds like a new PJ LP is heading out way soon.

The Battle Between Soundgarden And Chris Cornell's Estate Rages On: 

As we previously told you, all seemed well between Soundgarden and Vicky Cornell, widow of the late Chris Cornell. The parties even published a joint statement calling their legal situation “an amicable out-of-court resolution.” But according to one bandmate, that isn’t so. Drummer Matt Cameron confirmed “we’re in the middle of a dispute with the estate,” and because of that he believes new material from the departed rocker “doesn’t look like it’s going to happen next year” as Soundgarden had hoped.

Lenny Kravitz Was in a High School Play with Nicolas Cage   

 

Here's your random celebrity fact of the day:  Lenny Kravitz was in a high school musical with . . . Nicolas Cage. It was "Oklahoma". They didn't act together though. Cage had a role in the play, and Lenny was in the pit playing drums. This was at Beverly Hills High School . . . where their classmates also included Slash and Gina Gershon.

Scott Stapp Releases New Single "Black Butterfly”:

 As we previously told you, the revival of Creed is in full swing, as they plan to hit the road on a reunion tour and make a festival appearance or two along the way. But that’s not stopping Scott Stapp from continuing to make his own music.
