Kraft Is Introducing: Mac & NOT Cheese

If you buy Kraft Mac & Cheese, you know what to expect: Macaroni . . . cheese . . . and one of the cheapest, easiest, least nutritious meals of the week. But that's about to change . . . and no, not that last part.

Kraft is nixing the CHEESE.  (???) But it won't just be a box of noodles.

It's called "Kraft Not Mac & Cheese," featuring a dairy-free alternative to its usual powdered cheese.

It will be showing up in grocery stores soon and will come in two varieties . . . original and white cheddar with shells. Both will be priced at $3.49. This is the first time Kraft has offered a vegan, "plant-based" option.

The vegan cheese "sauce" is made with fava bean protein and coconut oil powder, which Kraft says has a "similar taste, look, and feel to dairy-based mac and cheese." In other words, it's better than it sounds. In fact, their press release describes it as "mouthwatering."
