A sequel to 1984's "This Is Spinal Tap" was announced last year, and now there's finally been an update.
Director Rob Reiner says filming will begin at the end of February. It was initially supposed to come out in March for the original's 40th anniversary, but that's not likely now.
But Reiner did reveal some SURPRISE guests: Paul McCartney, Elton John, and . . . Garth Brooks. (Could we get a return of Garth's Australian rock persona, Chris Gaines???)
He also confirmed that "everyone's back", which includes himself as filmmaker Marty DiBergi, and Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer as Spinal Tap members Nigel Tufnel, David St. Hubbins, and Derek Smalls.
A new release date has yet to be announced.
