MUSIC: The Prodigy Have Changed the Lyrics to "Smack My [B-Word] Up"

The Prodigy Have Changed the Lyrics to "Smack My [B-Word] Up"

One of the most controversial songs of the '90s was "Smack My [B-word] Up" by The Prodigy. But all these years later, it looks like the band is trying to correct that.

During a show over the weekend, frontman Maxim has been replacing that line with "Change my pitch up".

As fans know, that's the opening line of the song, and it's followed by "Smack my [B-word] up." But instead of saying that, he said "Change my pitch up" twice.

The song came out in 1997 and hit #89 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Phillip Anselmo Breaks Silence on Pantera Reunion.

Pantera reunited last year for the first time since the death of former members Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul. But frontman Philip Anselmo has kept a pretty tight lip, offering few words about the new version of the band… which added guitarist Zakk Wylde and drummer Charlie Benante.

“It is incredibly beautiful,” admitted Anselmo, who appeared on “The Metallica Report” alongside OG bassist Rex Brown. “These days, man, that’s where me and Rex, you know, we get to dig the shows more.” The singer also confessed that he’s no longer as “angry and at war” as he was in the band’s early days, which he calls “empowering.”

And for their fans who miss the fallen OG members, Anselmo has some encouragement. “I know for a damn fact Vince and Dime would want us to do this, hands down,” he insisted. The duo calls playing with the newly added members “an honor” and admits they have “their own damn legacy…without us.”
