Value menu items are usually the best place to start saving money, but EatThis, NotThat! has found ten fast-food burgers you can still get for under $5. Here’s their list, along with nutritional info (prices may vary depending on your location): 

  1. In-N-Out Double-Double Cheeseburger – In-N-Out is known for affordable prices with high-quality food and the Double-Double Cheeseburger goes for $3.95. You can even get a single cheeseburger for $2.80. (1 Order) 670 calories, 41 g fat (18 g saturated fat), 1440 mg sodium, 39 g carbs (3 g fiber, 10 g sugar), 37 g protein. 
  2. Wendy’s Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger – this is a great value that was priced at $2.69 as of September 2023 and a Double Bacon Stack goes for $3.59. (1 Order) 370 calories, 23 g fat (8 g saturated fat), 650 mg sodium, 25 g carbs (1 g fiber, 5 g sugar), 18 g protein. 
  3. Jack in the Box Jumbo Jack Cheeseburger – this burger can be found for as cheap as $3.19 but you can also get the Sourdough Jack for $4.69 and the Classic Buttery Jack for $4.79 according to Fast Food Menu Prices. (Cheeseburger 1 Order) 570 calories, 30 g fat (13 g saturated fat), 1310 mg sodium, 45 g carbs (3 g fiber, 8 g sugar), 30 g protein. 
  4. Carl’s Jr. Double Cheeseburger – this burger goes for as little as $2.49 in some locations and you can get a Small Cheeseburger for an extra $1.79 and have change left over from your $ 5 bill. (1 Order) 380 calories, 12 g fat (8 g saturated fat), 750 mg sodium, 34 g carbs ( 1 g fiber, 6 g sugar), 19 g protein. 
  5. Dairy Queen Signature Cheeseburger Stackburger – this double cheeseburger goes for $4.99 in some DQ locations. (Double) 570 calories, 34 g fat (15 g saturated fat), 1530 mg sodium, 38 g carbs (1 g fiber, 8 g sugar), 29 g protein. 
  6. White Castle Sliders – these classic sliders come in original, French toast, veggie and chicken styles and cost as little as 77 cents in some locations. (Original Slider 1 Order) 150 calories, 60 g fat (7 g saturated fat), 420 mg sodium, 17 g carbs (1 g fiber, 3 g sugar), 6 g protein. 
  7. McDonald’s Cheeseburger – McDonald’s has gotten some bad press lately over their really high prices but the classic cheeseburger and McDouble are still affordable. NEW $4 OR LESS MENU FROM ARBY’S IS HERE THROUGH DECEMBER 24

Arby’s is celebrating the 2023 holiday season with a new $4 or under Classics menu where you can grab Classic menu items for $4 or less through the Arby’s app until December 24, 2023. 

Here are the items available on the new value menu: 

  • $4: Double Roast Beef – Arby’s classic roast beef sandwich with double the amount of roast beef than the Roast Beef Classic. 
  • $3: Classic Beef’N Cheddar – Roast beef topped with Cheddar cheese sauce and Red Ranch on a toasted onion roll. 
  • $2: Mozzarella Sticks – melty mozzarella that’s battered and fried and served with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. 
  • $1: Curly Fries – sliced, curly fried potatoes. 
  • $1: Drink – a small fountain drink of your choice. 

The only restriction is that there is a limit of five items per order. The Classics for $4 or less menu is available until December 24 at participating Arby’s locations nationwide exclusively on the Arby’s app.
