Drinking and driving isn't funny . . . but if you're going to joke about it, don't use recycled jokes.
Tiffany Haddish was arrested for DUI in Beverly Hills at around 5:45 A.M. on Friday . . . the morning after Thanksgiving. Someone called 911 when they saw a car stopped in the middle of a road with the engine running.
The cops came and found Tiffany slumped over the wheel. Thankfully, there wasn't an accident . . . she was fine, she'd just "fallen asleep." She was arrested for DUI, cited, and released.
That night, Tiffany was back on stage doing a stand-up set when someone in the audience asked her what happened.
She didn't admit to anything. She just joked about praying for God to send her a man with a job, "preferably in a uniform," and God answered her prayers because he believed in her.
That could've been considered a clever line at the moment . . . but she used that same joke several times last year after she got a previous DUI in Georgia.
That one was similar, and someone called the cops because they saw someone sleeping behind the wheel at around 4:00 A.M. By the time the cops arrived, Tiffany was driving again . . . and was pulled over while pulling into a neighborhood.
