David Letterman Is Returning to "The Late Show" for the First Time Since...

David Letterman is returning to "The Late Show" for the first time since he left. Of course, it's now "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert". And David will be Stephen's guest on Monday night.

Letterman was the first host of "The Late Show". He left NBC to start it in 1993 after Jay Leno was chosen over him for the "Tonight Show" gig. He retired in 2015 after 22 seasons.

While he hasn't done "The Late Show," he did appear on James Corden's final "Late Late Show" earlier this year.

He's also been on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and "Late Night with Seth Meyers".
