The 60 Best Thanksgiving Songs
There aren't that many straight-up Thanksgiving songs besides Adam Sandler's "Thanksgiving Song" and Arlo Guthrie's "Alice's Restaurant."
But someone came up with a list of the 60 Best Thanksgiving Songs. And they did it by . . . CHEATING.
They widened the net so that a song doesn't even have to mention Thanksgiving . . . just things like coming home, getting together with friends and family, and stuff like that.
That way, they were able to include such soon-to-be Thanksgiving playlist mainstays as Motley Crue's "Home Sweet Home" and the "Friends" theme song. (Very timely. I see what you did there.)
It's a bit of an injustice, however, that "Alice's Restaurant" did NOT make the list. Here are some of the tracks that did:
1. "I've Got Plenty to Be Thankful For", Bing Crosby
2. The theme from "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving," Vince Guaraldi Trio
3. "Thanksgiving Prayer", Joanne Cash
4. "That's What Friends Are For", Dionne Warwick
5. "How Sweet It Is", James Taylor
6. "Lean On Me", Bill Withers
7. "Thanksgiving Song", Mary Chapin Carpenter
8. "We Are Family", Sister Sledge
9. "What a Wonderful World", Louis Armstrong
10. "You'd Be So Nice to Come Home To," Harry Connick Jr.
11. "Take Me Home, Country Roads", John Denver
12. "Our House", Madness
13. "In My Life", The Beatles
14. "Thank You", Dido
15. "Photograph", Nickelback

The Beatles Return to Billboard's Hot 100 Top 10 with "Now and Then"
The Beatles returned to the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time since 1996. Their FINAL song, "Now and Then," debuted at #7.
It marks their 35th Top 10, which is the most for any group. The Rolling Stones follow with 23, and Chicago and The Supremes are tied for third with 20 each.
The Beatles also lead with the most Hot 100 hits overall for a group with 72. They're followed by the Rolling Stones with 57, The Beach Boys with 55, and The Temptations with 53.
They also became the 13th act to have a Top 10 hit in FOUR decades: the '60s, '70s, '90s, and 2020s. The only other group to do it is Aerosmith.

Yesterday, we brought you drummer Jay Weinberg’s statement following his firing from Slipknot.
In the aftermath of his speaking out, the rocker received mostly positive support from the music community. Mostly.
“You’re just beginning, pal, in life… one door shuts and another one opens,” encouraged former Velvet Revolver and Guns ’N Roses drummer Matt Sorum. Meanwhile, Sepultura’s Eloy Casagrande tried to pep Weinberg up by reminding him “you’re one of the greatest… it’ll be a pleasure watching your next steps.”
But not everyone was as quick to have the fired drummer’s back. His former Against Me! bandmate, Laura Jane Grace, fired shots at Weinberg on X/Twitter. “If true, poetic justice,” wrote the singer/guitarist in response to a headline that the rocker was “heartbroken and blindsided.” Grace even called Weinberg a “little b***h boy” in a tweet that she has since deleted.
